So...if it's not already obvious by my prolonged absence, I don't think I'll be returning to this rp. xD I know this will sound dumb, since it's kind of the whole point, but the story is just too...depressing for me. idk, it was honestly getting me down a bit.

HOWEVER.

I do love writing/reading books that are depressing in nature (which is why I find it ironic that I couldn't hack the rp). For a while now, I've been throwing this idea around in my head, and last night, I had...a dream. And if Stephenie Meyer is any example, if you have a dream about writing a book, you must follow it and make lots of money. Even if it's a horseshit story. (This one will not be, though.)

So yes, if you haven't caught the drift, I am thinking about turning WHE into a novel. XD

Just to warn you, the furthest I've ever gotten on writing a novel is several hundred pages; I've never finished one. :\ So I have little guarantee that this will ever be completed. On the other hand, if I can get some help mapping out the plot...that's always my biggest problem. xD

ALSO, THERE ARE QUITE A LOT OF IMPORTANT THINGS I HAVE TO POINT OUT, AND IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING A PART OF THIS, I SUGGEST YOU READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. THE GENERAL PLAN
The idea that I plan to follow is a story where every chapter focuses on one character, and all of the chapters end up tying in to the plot. Obviously, with this, there are a lot of issues concerning how many main characters there will be, who the story focuses on, etc, that I'll outline later.

2. HETALIA
...will be cut out completely. I always like to write with the idea that what I'm writing is going to be published, even if it probably won't be. So everything concerning Hetalia is going out. That means, yes, the idea of personified countries (no, this idea is not copyrighted, and has been used by other authors/artists, BUT let's not lie, it will automatically make one think of Hetalia). Instead, all of the characters will simply be from their respective countries/cities. I haven't worked out exactly how this will work around some character's backstories (because I know some of them are closely tied into the history of their country), but rest assured, I'll come up with something.

3. THE BALL
Although the story as a whole will be WHE-central, I'd like the ball to be the main event. Because it was one I was actually around for, and it brings all the characters together nicely. (Note to Admins: I don't know if it's just me, but I seem to be unable to look at older posts from Downtown, Uptown, and possibly other places I haven't checked. Obviously, this is kind of sort of a huge problem.) Also, I haven't come up with anything yet, but I really love Cinderella spin-offs, so...a ball presents the opportunity for that. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be glad to hear them. But I only want to do this if it can be very subtle; I don't want to force in a Cinderella plot unnecessarily.

4. WHICH CHARACTERS WILL BE USED?
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!! Most characters are not going to get a main role in the story! Even out of my own characters, the only person who for sure is getting his own chapter is Piter. The Godfather himself is potentially going to be cut out entirely, or just mentioned in passing. This should give you an idea of how selective this process is going to be.

Let me be brutally honest, if: a) I have never roleplayed with you, b) your character has not obviously and aggressively been a part of the rp, c) your character is new to me (aka used after my absence, which started a considerably long time ago), DO NOT EXPECT TO GET A CHAPTER. Yes, it's a tad unfair, but you know what? I'm the one writing this thing. :I Think what you want of me, but I'm not going out of my way to include characters that I don't know well.

That being said, let me outline this a bit more clearly:

MAIN CHARACTERS: These are the characters who are getting a whole chapter to themselves. Obviously, they have to be absolutely central to the plot. I don't have a definitive number yet of how many chapters there will be, but here are the people that PROBABLY are in this category:

-Arash
-Ilaria
-Piter
-Dragan
-Andrej
-Cosim
-Scott
-Franze

DON'T FREAK OUT IF YOU DON'T SEE "SO-AND-SO" HERE. This list is not definitive, and there are still a lot of 'maybe's. At the same time, don't be offended (or do, idk, you can think of me as a total bitch, I'm still not adding anyone I don't feel belongs) if your character doesn't make the list, because there are still...

SIDE CHARACTERS: Anyone else, basically. (Not everyone will make it into this category, either, just fyi.) These characters won't get their own chapter, but may be described or mentioned briefly. If they have a lot to do with one of the main characters, expect them to show up somewhere! For example, Gomel is important to Piter's story, so obviously, she'll be making many, many cameos.

Please bear with me on all this, it's not fun or easy for me to cut people out, by any means. But...I gotta draw a line somewhere if I want to realistically write this. xD

5. THE PLOT
Okay, this is the part I will need help with. So, obviously, the basic story will be kept:

a. society has collapsed
b. what's left of humanity has gathered to live in one central city dubbed 'Pangaea II'
c. the mafia runs things
d. the government is in hiding
e. there is a revolutionary movement
f. being a neutral sucks

Etc. I'm thinking what I want to do is have the ball be the climax of the story, and spend most of the beginning introducing the idea of Pangaea II. Er...I like explaining things, so expect some dwelling on how Pangaea II came to be.

But I will definitely need help on a detailed outline of the plot and how all of the characters are going to contribute to it. I really like complex/surprising plots, so I'd like to put a lot of thought into this.

6. CREATIVE FREEDOM
I will promise you all right now that I will absolutely NOT take liberties with your characters unless it's absolutely necessary. And even then, I'm likely to discuss it with you privately first. That being said, I guarantee I will have to take liberties with the story at one point or another, most likely with the concept of Pangaea II itself. And I may take dialogue directly out of the rps, or I may not use the rps at all. It depends.

ALSO, YOUR CHARACTER HAS A HIGH RISK OF DYING WHILE IN MY CLUTCHES.

I wrote a story before with about fifteen main characters, and three of them survived. These are not good odds. Don't be shocked, especially in the setting this is taking place in, if people die. Just a fair warning.

That's all I can come up with for now, but what do you guys think? We have such a fantastic host of characters on our hands here, and a killer story; it's a bit sudden, but I really want to do this!

But if I were to incorperate it, it would be extremely out-of-the-way: the kind of thing where it's just barely hinted at, then you look back after the end and realize, "Oh! It's like Cinderella!" And, sorry (this hurts), but I'm gonna have to say that Jiao and Jeremy (even though I love 'em), will be side characters. Remember: I left very soon after you started using the two of them. XD;; And, neither of them were here for the ball event. Cala, though? Definitely a main. B)

And yesssss, there will be lots of deaths. I like to have some dramatic ones, but mostly casual deaths are my style. Some people will die suddenly, for sure. (I am obsessed with getting death scenes perfect, hurr) But yes, I'm thinking some big bad will go down at the ball, HOWEVER, I like to keep open endings, so I will definitely not close off with things in certain favor of either the revolution or the mafia.
